A man driving his pickup truck in San Bernardino County crashed into a building in Ontario while trying to evade officers, causing at least one person to suffer multiple injuries, authorities said.
California Highway Patrol officers and Ontario police responded to a report of crash involving pickup truck and a second vehicle in the city about 11:10 p.m. Wednesday, according to Sgt. Mike Lopez.
Witnesses told authorities the truck was traveling eastbound on Highway 138 near Ontario Drive in Ontario, north of San Bernardino around 11:50 p.m., Lopez said.
"The pickup collided with a building on the east side of road," Lopez said.
Three people were taken to a hospital and one person was treated at the scene before truck was towed away, Lopez said. It was unclear what the person suffered, Lopez said.
"We're not talking about a life-ending injury, but this truck was definitely going at a high speed when it struck the building," Lopez valtrex 1 gram price said.
Two women who were driving in the area of crash told NBC4 News I-Team that a man driving black Nissan pick-up truck appeared to be asleep and at the wheel when his vehicle spun from side to side. All three said the driver looked "dazed."
One of the women driving in area spotted the truck on its side and told the men from hospital it was a serious problem. The two women said at first the men were skeptical until they could see the extent of damage their car was in.
Lopez had no information about the driver at this time.
